Nordia – Marmoline with a high sense of responsibility and social contribution after the devastating fires of the last two summers, actively supports the institution of the Restoration and Reforestation Contractor and continues to respond to the call for the reconstruction of fire-affected areas. Thus, after the Erosion and Flood Control Works that it carried out on 2,000 acres in Varympompi in 2022, this year it is strengthening its environmental work by undertaking the Reforestation Underwriter on 200 acres on the mountain of Penteli.
On Sunday 12 March, Marmoline successfully completed the first voluntary joint reforestation action on the Penteli Mountain with the scientific guidance and assistance of the Forestry Department of Penteli and the Attica Reforestation Directorate. A large number of people of all ages arrived early in the morning and with great enthusiasm helped in the implementation of an important environmental project. We joined forces to protect our natural home and created a small mound against climate change.
It was a very promising action but also a reminder that a bright future is not determined by luck but by collective effort. Marmoline, inspired by the principles of environmental consciousness, is committed to continue the important work of regenerating the natural wealth of the affected areas and strengthening the green lungs of Attica.
