Uses
Αlkali-resistant fiberglass mesh for coating of reinforcement is used to reinforce the base layer of Marmoline’s MONOSIS external thermal insulation systems. It is suitable for application on insulating boards made of expanded polystyrene EPS (white or graphite), extruded polystyrene XPS or mineral wool MW.
It weighs 160 g/m², is resistant to alkalis and, due to its high flexibility, exhibits particularly good behavior in contraction and expansion.
Fiberglass Mesh Monosis 160 is specially designed for application in external thermal insulation systems of buildings but is also suitable for other uses.
It can also be applied as reinforcement for the cementitious waterproofing coatings (Aquata FL and Aquata Elastic) and for the reinforcement of interior or exterior coatings to prevent cracking.
It is suggested for the reinforcement of the base layer of the microcement system (Velvet Deco Superia) as well as for the application of anti-crack protection in bricks or aerated concrete (AAC) masonry.
Fiberglass Mesh Monosis 160 is also used to reinforce cement-based mortars by application to the entire surface or locally to masonry connections (with floor or other masonry), to contact points of different materials as well as for local crack repairs.
